Following Yonder Star !

Stitching my way to be calm . Following yonder star .
I wonder at the thought of all the people of different times in history ,who looked  up and saw Halley's Comet .

I finish the flames around the top of the comet .

Next fill in the bar in the tail .

I chose this soft apple green , which is brighter than the colour in the original Bayeux Tapestry in which it appears to be more of a faded jade colour . I wondered if it was originally white and now discoloured ?
I might do another with white flames to see how it looks . I also plan to do an even larger textile piece in shades of gold .  I have lots of ideas swirling around in my mind .

This I felt  would go more with the decor in my home , but still quite similar to the real thing .

Flames , they look to be done in split stitch on the Bayeux Tapestry .
I,m going to long and short stitch these flames .

I,m just choosing the fiery colours .

Healing love and peace to you .
