I have been really busy in the garden . I haven't stopped stitching , but I haven't had time to upload my photos .
The Lettuces are coming along nicely now that we,ve had some rain . It's a very busy time in the vegetable garden .
I have made good progress with my first ever Luna !
She is very shy and would not be seen without her best undies on ! The pattern for these pretty French Knickers is in the Luna Lapin book .
The lace is a bit fiddly to stitch , but I took my time and I am delighted with them !
I might even make myself a pair !
Luna is also delighted with them !
.........and here she is ! Her name is Meadowsweet .
So now I am making one for my lovely mum . This one will be even more special for her , in lovely pink felt . Then when they are both done , I will be pulling out my sewing machine and begin making lovely Luna dresses . I am already sorting out some pretty Liberty floral fabrics .
The last time I used my sewing machine smoke came out of it ! I did take it to be fixed but not used it since then . I am little bit nervous of using it again .
I have also followed the instructions in the Luna Lapin Book most precicely and have had no problems at all .
I am stitching both of these Luna's bodys by hand .
The book recommends that the clothes are machine stitched ,which on one hand means it should go faster but on the other hand can't be slipped into my handbag and done so easily on my travels . So maybe I will make some things by hand stitching after all .
What a lovely Luna, and how wonderful to make another one for your mum! I loved making my Luna some years back, and I stitched her an outfit, too. She's even got boots which I would love to have myself ;-)
