This is another 17th century pattern from " A Schole-house for the Needle published in 1632 by Richard Shorleyker ....I used the colours of the actual flower in my photo , only as a rough guide . I have stitched several of these Dianthus flowers now in different colours . I'm having fun playing with colours .
Today, we walked to Kenilworth Castle and I was thinking of you. Their gillie flowers are all out, and I took some pictures.....
