Sacred Heart of Jesus - Little Pocket Prayer Oratory continued ❤️‍🔥

I have almost finished this little piece ,which will become the front flap of my little pocket prayer oratory .

I'm not totally happy with the halo where it meets the doves wings , it doesn't come in enough . I will come back to that and sort it out !

I gave myself until Pentecost to finish this Holy Spirit piece .

Meanwhile .....

This will be the inside . 

I'm working the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the centre .

I have sketched it , ever so lightly with a pencil .

Then stitched the outline with red DeVere Yarns silk thread .

Then it was very late , so I didn't do very much .

☀️Today the sun is shining . I took my embroidery things out side and I thought I could do a bit more  , but as it turned out it was a tad too breezy and my things kept blowing off my lap ! 

I only managed to do a little bit more . 

Now I'm thinking that I need to go over the Crown of Thorns . 

It would have been better if I had embroidered the heart first then worked the Crown of Thorns over the top of it .

It's a very small piece , so I really mustn't try to make it too detailed . 

That said , I am pleased with how it's coming along . I do know where I'm going with this !

Silk thread is very slippery ,  I'm not sure where I put my Thread Heaven (thread conditioner ) .

                               I'll do some more after lunch .
