Full Moon - A quick sketch embroidery

                       I doodled a quick sketch of the moon  .

            It is full moon this evening and I just thought I might embroider it .

Should I embroider this on white linen or on black ? 

I chose to embroider it on black , but now I'm thinking white or cream would be better .

I didn't want to fill the moon face in .....but then I thought that , actually , the way I've done it , it is more like new moon !
