Anglo-Saxon Cross Embroidery

                                    

    I have always been intrigued by the beautiful Trumpington Cross , that was found in a 7th century, Anglo-Saxon bed burial in a village near Cambridge .

I am going to have a go at doing a very simple embroidery of it in crewel wool .

                                                  A rough sketch in wool .

Might take me a while .
